No need to fight with your kids to eat their fruit.  Getting them to cut fruit into yoga shapes with the Yummi Yogi Warrior Pose cookie cutter is super easy.  Simply slice your watermelon (mom handles this) into inch thick slices and firmly press the cookie cutter into the fruit as shown above.  Any large fruit will do, and in no time you’ll have a platter full of fun delicious melon that is sure to disappear in minutes.

Gluten-free Granola Yogis

Want a quick, healthy snack without the baking and mess?  Here’s a simple recipe for granola yogis that is sure to be a hit with the young and young-at-heart.  This recipe from Amy is gluten-free, vegan and easy to make.  You can also substitute your own ingredients for extra fun.

Recipe

Dry Ingredients

2 Cups Rolled oats

2 Cups Brown Rice Cereal

1/2 C Chopped Almonds

1/2 C Chopped Dried Cherries

1/2 C Shredded Coconut

Liquids

3/4 C Brown Rice Syrup

1/2 C Almond or Peanut Butter

1 Tbsp. Maple Syrup

Instructions

Combine the dry ingredients and set aside. Combine the liquids and warm for 40 seconds. Add the liquid to the dry mix and stir well. If the mix is too dry, add a little more warmed brown rice syrup. Place your Yummi Yogi cookie cutters on a baking sheet and fill with the granola. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for an hour. Remove the granola gently from the cutters by pulling the cookie cutter away from the granola, the granola should slide right out. Best if stored in refrigerator.

Feed the birds and have fun with the kids, while you make yogi bird feeders to hang in your backyard trees.  These simple and easy asana shaped bird feeders are the perfect decorating item for your yoga garden party, and full of natural goodness for your feathered friends.

You’ll Need:

Wax Paper

1 C. Water

4 C. Bird Seed

Twine or String

1 Box of Gelatin (4 packs)

5 Yummi Yogi Cookie Cutters

Olive Oil / Baking Spray

How To:

Cut 5 pieces of string approx. 14” long and knot each end.

Lightly spray the inside of each cookie cutter (to prevent sticking later)

Lay cookie cutters and string on wax paper.

Mix together gelatin and water in a saucepan.

Stir until simmer then remove from heat for 1 minute

Add birdseed to water & gelatin. Mix well.

Fill half the cookie cutters with bird seed.

Place each string into cutter and push knot down into seed.

Fill the rest of the cutters with seed, pushing down evenly.

Allow the cutters to dry overnight. Flipping over in the morning

Slide the bird seed molds out of the cookie cutters.
